Louisville Bedding Debuts Simmons SmartFit sheets

Louisville, Ky. — To address the leading consumer complaint about sheets — fit — Louisville Bedding Company has introduced the patented and trademarked Simmons SmartFit sheet.

"Our consumer research found that a proper fit was the single most important feature consumers were looking for when shopping for sheets, ranking much higher in importance than thread count, color, and even price," said Scott Walters, national merchandise manager, Louisville Bedding. "As the height disparity grows between standard and premium pillow top mattresses, consumers are struggling to find a product that will actually fit well and stay on their mattress."

Walters said the Louisville product development team created a range of innovations to provide sheets that deliver "a superior fit on any mattress ranging from a 6-inch sofa bed to a 20-inch super premium pillow top."

He noted that the SmartFit hem treatments use double-wide elastic for maximum fit, and double-needle-edge finishing to ensure lifetime durability. The initial launch of Simmons SmartFit by Louisville will offer a total of 10 colors in 300, 400, and 600 thread counts. All are constructed of 100% cotton sateen fabrics and will be oversized.
