JLA Expands Rug Assortments

New York — Building on its packaged area rugs that go with its bedding programs, the burgeoning rug division of JLA Home, which opened its doors late last year and debuted its first line in February, is now pairing up two sizes of kitchen rugs and parceling them together as a promotional offer to retailers.
JLA Rugs is taking a set of matching kitchen styles – an 18-by-30 slice or rectangle and a 19-by-44 runner — and wrapping them together into a clear vinyl bag with a handle. The retail price for this set is $29.99.
JLA Rugs is looking to diversify its assortment to include new constructions and more area rugs. Under its Studio J label, additions include all-tufted modified acrylic — some with high-low and some with carved effects. There are 30 total free-standing new patterns.
The company is also providing more bedding-coordinated rugs, especially in the juvenile category. For this market, rug accents and area size styles were created to pair up with JLA's licensed Olive Kids line of bedding, as well as styles that marry to tween and teen programs. Generic looks in novelty shapes, like butterflies and florals, are also part of the new juvenile rug assortment.
