Patent-Pending Inflatable Headboards Target "Naked" Beds

At the New York Market — This week, Levinsohn introduced an upholstered headboard with an air cushion intended as an inexpensive option to traditional headboards.
The patent-pending Back Drop targets the over 100 million "naked" beds in the United States. that don't yet have a headboard — as well as an additional 22 million new beds sold each year.
The inflatable boards are available in the three most common headboard silhouettes: rectangle, arch, and camel back. Levinsohn is showing 40 patterns of slipcover at its showroom at 261 Fifth Avenue.
Back Drop slipcovers come with Velcro-style strips to anchor the headboard to the wall.
The complete set of upholstered cover, air cushion, electric pump, and wall tabs retails for $49 to $99.
