United Feather in X-static Exclusive

Des Plaines, Ill. — Luxury bedding manufacturer United Feather & Down (UF&D) has entered an exclusive partnership with Noble Biomaterials to use that company's patented X-static brand silver fiber, which yields anti-microbial, odor-elimination, thermal and anti-static benefits.
UF&D has exclusive rights to incorporate the X-static fiber in down and down alternative pillows, mattress pads, and comforters. The company will bring products to market by 2008.
X-static has a layer of pure silver bonded to its fibers, which does not wash out or wear out of the product.
"We're confident this technology will be a beneficial addition to our product line," said Brandon Palmer, United Feather & Down co-president.
