Marble Hill, Ga. — Wool carpet brand Wools of New Zealand (WONZ) has announced five new partners for the North American contract and residential product markets.
The new licensees — Bentley Prince Street, Eclipse, Fabrica, Masland, and Woolstreet Designs — bring the N.A. roster of partners up to 60. The new partners' profiles:
- Bentley Prince Street, producing the Oceanic Collection for WONZ, is a strong vertical player, manufactures and markets broadloom and carpet tile products for commercial interiors; the company is committed to eliminating any negative environmental impact by 2020, via its Mission Zero program.
- Eclipse, offering the ready-to-ship Dimensions in space-dyed WONZ yarns, is a new supplier to the residential market, specializing in solid, heathered, and multi-colored wool carpets that are tufted in loop and tip-sheared textures.
- Fabrica, currently distributing the WONZ level-loop Canberra line; this division of the Dixie Group has a high-end, high-margin focus.
- Masland Carpets & Rugs, another Dixie Group division, is poised to launch a line of face-to-face Wilton and tufted constructions, in a variety of pattern-on-pattern weaves and other styles.
- Woolstreet Designs, a new company launched by Steve Couch (previously of Steven C Fine Floorcoverings), will bring more than a dozen WONZ carpets to the residential market in nine color lines of fresh naturals; look for the debut at Surfaces 2008.
