Safavieh Names Kraus to Northeast Post

New York — Area rug resource Safavieh has appointed Scott Kraus as its new territory manager, responsible for rug sales in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
He reports to John Thompson, national sales manager.
Kraus was previously national sales manager for New Jersey-based rug importer Royal Intercontinental, where he spent the past six years. Prior experience was with retailer Designs for Living in New York.
"Scott brings to Safavieh a broad base of expertise in designer furniture and custom as well as programmed Tibetan rugs," Thompson said. "This experience is important to us as we move to build our relationships with independent rug and furniture stores throughout his territory."
Kraus will be based at the company's corporate headquarters in Port Washington, N.Y.
