West Long Branch, N.J. — A little more than a year after he sold a controlling interest in Sleep Innovations to a private equity firm, founder Michael Fux is resuming an active role in the company.
Fux, who has maintained a seat on the board since last year's sale to Catterton Partners, began helping out with product innovation, sales and marketing three weeks ago.
"No titles — I am definitely title-less. But I am definitely involved," Fux said. "For me, it's a lot of fun to spend time at Sleep Innovations. I love this company."
Fux is also developing his newest business — O So Fresh — storage containers made with a nano-silver particle treatment that can keep food fresh for up to four times longer than conventional plastic canisters. Currently carried by Sharper Image, the product will next expand out to five other select retailers, Fux said.
