Casali Rejoins Dan River

New York — As a recently resurgent Dan River beefs up its management team and tightens its customer focus, industry veteran Lou Casali returns to the home fashions supplier he left several years ago.

Casali, who will be based in New York City, rejoined Dan River as senior vp, and will have responsibility for a number of key accounts, including JC Penney and Anna's Linens. He reports to Dan Hammer, Dan River executive vp and president of home fashions sales and marketing.

In his earlier stint at Dan River, Casali had been svp with responsibility for adult bedding, department and specialty stores. Casali had been with Dan River a number of years, leaving to join Li & Fung, the Hong Kong-based sourcing and marketing company, where he was svp for the Royal Velvet brand. He later left Li & Fung to work at Essential Brands, a fragrance company. Casali had also worked as a senior sales and marketing executive at Crown Crafts.
