New York — Designer Eileen Fisher and consumer-direct retailer Garnet Hill have teamed up in what is a first for both — Fisher’s first bed and bath collection, and Garnet Hill’s first designer exclusive.
Eileen Fisher Home by Garnet Hill will debut Aug. 9 in catalog and a few days earlier on Garnet Hill’s Web site. The Eileen Fisher Web site will link consumers to Garnet Hill for home merchandise.
"We’ve carried the apparel for over 10 years, and about a year ago we approached them about home" said Garnet Hill spokeswoman Wendy Thayer. The collection adds a neutral-toned, affordable luxury line to the cataloger’s mix, which is best known for its bright hues and crisp prints.
"It’s a perfect next step for us," said Fisher. "We are passionate about fabrics and how they make us feel."
The assortment includes 400-count, long-staple Egyptian cotton sateen sheets at $80 for a queen flat or fitted; Pebble silk quilt at $298 for double/queen; silk-filled silk comforter with hand-tied knots at $498 for double/queen; textured cashmere throw at $428, a royal alpaca/baby alpaca blanket made of short and long fibers from $298 to $478; and a rippled cotton coverlet at $188 queen. The ribbed cotton towel retails at $38 for bath and $48 for bath sheet.
Colors in the collection include bone, parchment, shot white, chocolate and oatmeal.
