Jia Li Tags Lifestyle Trends

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 4/17/2006

New York — Jia Li Textiles is introducing a spate of new comforter sets tagged largely to demographic and lifestyle trends that, while tilted slightly toward younger consumers, extend across all age sensibilities.

The company's lines are directed squarely at mid-tier department stores.

Skewing toward younger demos, Loft Living is a faux ultra suede comforter with machine quilting offered in a range of purples, blues and grays, coordinating with decorative pillows.

Geo-Gem is specifically directed at 20-somethings, according to vp and design director Sharon Shields. It consists of about 10 vastly different styles and colorways, including a wild light-on-dark print that seems to straddle the appearance of stitching or a printed circuit board.

In all of the Geo-Gem products the coloration is bold and big. They are offered with coordinating decorative pillows.

For those with softer sensibilities (read: older), Fiona is another faux silk with pintucking, while Ophelia, too, offers pintucking against an embroidered drop.

More faux silk may be found in Promenade, which also offers a rauching border.

Summer Cascade breaks from that mode with a more traditional quality appearance.

In addition to its comforter sets, Jia Li is also showing its traditional line of quilts.
