Ginsey Spa Goods to Fight Breast Cancer

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/31/2006

Bellmawr, N.J. —A collection of spa-like accessories, including small pillows and terry towel turbans, is the newest avenue to churn up proceeds for a good cause — in this case the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Bath accessory company Ginsey Industries, based here, is creating the line, set to launch this week during market.

“For Ginsey, this is the first license we've had in a funding-type situation,” said Mary Fullam, vp, creative development. “We're excited to be part of a worthy cause.”

Set to be sold separately, the products in this line include: terry velour pillows in two sizes — a 5-inch-by-15.25-inch roll and a 7-inch-by-14.25-inch rectangle — both of which include small suctions for the bath; a cotton terry towel turban; waffle-weave slippers and wash mitts; and a shower cap.

The items are in white — some, like the pillows, with pink piping — and feature the Foundation's signature pink bow.

A portion of Ginsey's sales will be donated to the Foundation, to be used toward education, awareness and mammography for under-served and uninsured women. Special hangtags on the goods inform customers of this, Fullam said.

Targeting specialty stores, the products are set to retail between $4.99 to $14.99.
