Neiman Merger Meeting Set

Dallas —The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. will hold a special meeting of stockholders on Aug. 16 to vote on the proposed acquisition of the company by a group of private equity funds.
Stockholders as of July 11 are invited to attend, and the definitive proxy statement was mailed out on or about July 14.
Neiman stated that it expects to complete the merger during the last calendar quarter of 2005, subject to the adoption of the merger agreement by the company's stockholders.
The meeting will take place at 8 a.m. at the Marriott Boston Newton Hotel.
