Ashley McBride Debuts Venice Home

By Carole Sloan -- Home Textiles Today, 2/6/2006

New York — Ashley McBride is introducing the Venice Home Collection, a super luxury bed, bath and custom tabletop textile program this week.

A supplier-importer of high end home textiles, Ashley McBride is featuring the bedding in linen or cotton in various constructions from a 406-count cotton percale with a chamois hand to the 600-count soft jacquard sateens. Colors range from white and natural to pastels and warm spice tones.

The bed linens feature a European return on most finished top sheets which is a design formed with a mitred corner, and then continued 22 inches along the side of the sheet, allowing for an elegant turn-down of the sheet. Pillow cases are made with four flanges, versus the more common three-flange styles.

Bath linens are combed cotton, embroidered or embellished with lace and all bordered with cotton sateen, designed according to company specifications.

Table linens range from mat sets to runners and tablecloths.

In addition to its 31 collections of bed, bath and table linens, the company also produces the Venetian velvet collection of hand colored and printed bedding, curtains, cushions, and runners in 22 colors.

The Venice, Italy-based producer of the Venice Home Collection supplies its products to the leading luxury distributors, hotels and shops around the world.

Typical retails for the 600-count solid sheet sets with double hem in 12 colors that are stocked in New Jersey for immediate delivery are $180 for the queen top, $175 for the queen fitted. The 500-count Rami and Gocce yarn dyed jacquard sheets are $200 for the queen top sheet, $180 for the queen fitted.

The 600-count Doge embroidered style is $400 for the queen top sheet, $175 for the queen embroidered sheet.

Embroidered towels are $110 for the bath sheet, $70 for the bath towel.
