828 International Taps Hayim

Greenville, S.C. —828 International Trading Co. has appointed Melanie Hayim to the newly created position of business development manager.

Based in Chesterfield, Mo., she reports to Mark Ferullo, vice president.

Hayim brings to her new stint more than 18 years of experience in the flooring industry. Most recently, she was director of broadloom merchandising for the ProSource Division of CCA Global. Prior to that, she was focused mainly on the area rug category, working in various management positions on both the retail and manufacturing sides of the business. Her employers during this period included ABC Carpet and Home, Baker Brothers, Shaw Rugs and Couristan.

In her new post, Hayim is responsible for sales in Missouri, Nebraska and Kansas, and will also be involved in the company's product development and merchandising efforts.

Ferullo said: “Because her expertise is broad, we didn't want her to wear just one hat within our company. We decided to create a position that utilizes her strengths in sales, product development, and merchandising.”
