Poseley Tapped as CEO

San Francisco —Design Within Reach has named Tara Poseley its president and CEO, effective Oct. 1. Current chief Wayne Badovinus will assume the role of chairman of the board from John Hansen, who will remain on the board.
Poseley joined Design Within Reach a year ago as vice president of merchandising responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Company's product offerings, management of the buying team and relations with vendors. She also oversaw the company's recent introduction of bedding.
Chief Financial Officer Ken La Honta will add the title of chief operating officer and assume management of inventory and information technology along with his finance and fulfillment center responsibilities. Wanda Gierhart, currently chief marketing officer, was promoted to executive vice president of marketing and merchandising. She will assume the duties of merchandising and product development. Ray Brunner, vice president of real estate and Studio operations, has been promoted to executive vice president of real estate and Studio operations.
All of them will report to Poseley.
