Sears Names Lewis CEO

Aylwin Lewis has been named CEO and president of Sears Holdings, with responsibility for the company's 3,900 stores, as well as home services, finance, legal, supply chain, information technology, and human resources, effective Sept. 30.
Edward Lampert, Sears Holdings chairman, will lead the company's initiatives “to become more responsive to its customers,” according to Sears. Lampert will direct the marketing, merchandising, design, and online businesses of Sears Holdings, as well as Lands' End, “to ensure that these initiatives are clearly focused on responding to customer needs.”
William Crowley, Sears Holdings chief financial officer, will assume additional responsibilities associated with the newly created role of chief administrative officer, Sears stated.
Alan Lacy will continue to serve as vice chairman and a director, and as a member of the office of the chairman.
