Lenzing Raising Prices

Lenzing, Austria —The Lenzing Group, a producer of man-made cellulose fibers, plans to increase the prices of its fibers beginning in the further quarter.
Increases of at least 5 percent — depending on the fiber type — are expected, according to the company. The increases will take effect Oct. 1 and will apply to fibers used for both textiles and nonwoven applications.
“The Lenzing Group is taking this action to compensate for the increase in raw-material and energy prices which have been severely impacting the fiber business for many months ... ,” the company stated.
