Shanghai — Hollander Home Fashions has named Hongyong Shi sourcing manager of its Shanghai office.
Shi is responsible for overseeing Hollander's Chinese vendor base, and reports directly to Mason Carroll, senior vice president of fashion bedding. His duties include researching new fabric developments; meeting with vendors to compare quality, pricing, certification and production capabilities; and managing quality control.
Previously, Shi worked at ShanghaiMart, the international textiles trading center and exhibition space for buyers and sellers. Prior to his employment at ShanghaiMart, he worked at a vertical textiles mill for 12 years.
“Hollander relies on China as a source for high-quality, low-cost raw materials,” said Jeff Hollander, president and CEO of Hollander Home Fashions. “Hongyong's deep knowledge of the Chinese textile industry is helping Hollander stay ahead of the curve when it comes to finding the best vendors and prices.”
Hollander's Shanghai office opened in 2002. The staff is responsible for sourcing, sales and marketing in Asia.
