Natco Home Fashions Moves Into Bedding

Vega to Lead New Division, Reporting to Corona's Bolton

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 6/6/2005

West Warwick, R.I. — Natco Home Fashions — parent company of Corona Curtain, Robertson Home Fashions, Central Oriental, Soft Impressions, and Flemish Master Weavers — is expanding with the launch of a bedding division.

Stacey Vega, who has been with the company for the past year as senior vice president of sales and marketing in the textiles division, will lead the newly created division. Prior to working at Natco, she spent six years at Dan River.

Neil Levi is joining the company as vice president of design over bedding. He was previously the creative manager at Dan River. He also has held design roles for Breaking Waves, Four Seasons Fabrics, Franco and S. Edward Inc.

Both Vega and Levi will report to Christine Bolton, president of Corona Curtain and Robertson Home Fashions.

Natco had been working with a few key retailers on bedding programs, but built out a team to better focus on that aspect of the business from a sales, marketing, and design perspective, Bolton said.

Over the past three years, Natco has added several graphics specialists, artists, and stylists as well as more than tripling the space for the creative department. The creative operations group now has over 40 associates. New technology, computers, equipment and software have been invested in to build this department, according to the company.

Natco is positioning itself as a total home fashions resource offering woven, printed, and handmade rugs, carpet remnants, vinyl flooring, curtains, decorative pillows and mats, chair pads, tablecloths, kitchen accessories, shower curtains, furniture covers, throws, and bedding covering a variety of distribution channels in the United States and Canada.
