Foamtex board now has nine directors

LINWOOD, PA -Foamex International Inc., manufacturer of flexible polyurethane and advanced polymer foam products, announced on Dec. 21 the election of Virginia Kamsky to the company's board of directors. Kamsky is chairman of the board of Kamsky Associates Inc.
The addition of Kamsky, along with the election of Gov. Raymond Mabus earlier this year, adds two independent directors to the board, bringing the total number of directors to nine.
"The election of Virginia Kamsky to our board was unanimous, reflecting the confidence we all have in her ability to make a meaningful contribution to our company," Marshall Cogan, Foamex board chairman, said. "Ms. Kamsky has a distinguished record of service to many major multi-national corporations with a focus on a wide variety of business and investment activities, and we are proud to have her join us."
Kamsky is founder, ceo and chairman of the board of Kamsky Associates Inc., a New York- and Beijing-based consulting firm focused on strategic business and financial initiatives in China. She is a member of the Counsel on Foreign Relations and a director of the National Committee on US-China Relations. Previously Kamsky served on the board of trustees of her alma mater, Princeton University, and currently serves as a member of the University of Richmond board of trustees.
Kamsky began her career at Chase Manhattan Bank where she spent significant time in Japan, and then in the International Trade & Commodity Finance Department.
In other Foamex news, the company's next annual shareholders meeting for the election of directors and other matters is scheduled for June 29.
