Strouds taps Valone as new gmm

CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA -Strouds announced today that Robert Valone has been promoted to gmm, reporting to John Brincko, interim president and ceo.
With 12 years experience in buying and merchandising, Valone joined Strouds in 1999 as buyer of utility bedding, and was promoted to divisional vp of solid color sheets, towels and utility bedding in November 1999.
Prior to joining Strouds, Valone was at Pacific Linen, most recently as vp of merchandise and also served as buyer for fashion bedding, window and bathshop. He also had previously worked for Broadway Stores and The May Department Stores.
Valone replaces Harry Brown, who left in September.
