Serta Partners With Leggett & Platt for Foam Line

New York — Serta International and Sleep Comfort Systems, part of Leggett & Platt's urethane division, have joined forces to introduce an extensive line of Serta-branded foam sleep pillows, mattress toppers and other specialty pillows to be marketed and sold by Serta, a first for the bedding company.

The specially shaped and molded foam pillows and toppers are tied to Serta's Perfect Sleeper, Perfect Night and Masterpiece bedding brands. Many also feature Leggett & Platt's exclusive KoolComfort technology, which has a soft feel and is sensitive to body temperature to conform to contours more quickly. According to the company, its open cell structure allows air to flow more freely through the foam and pulls moisture away from the skin.

The foam line is divided into three pricing tiers: Serta Basics, with pillows from $20 to $40; International Touch, featuring pillows $30 to $70; and the KoolComfort collection, which includes pillows priced from $40 to $160. Serta Basics consists of four different memory foam pillows, a mattress pad and a topper, while International Touch has similar items in an upgraded foam. The KoolComfort collection features the new foam technology with a knife edge design and satin cording in three pillows and two toppers.
