Ashley McBride Launches Peninsula

New York —Ashley McBride is launching a new Italian bed and bath program under the brand Peninsula Collection.
The collection features seven groups in 300-count cotton, each in 15 colors — “clean, contemporary, high-style designs,” said Barry Shapiro, president.
Each bed is offered in comforters, duvet covers, quilts, throws and sheet sets — which are interchangeable between the groups. The queen sheet sets are $300 retail, as are the queen comforters. The complete lifestyle program also features towels and robes.
The Peninsula Collection is made in Italy, and the program is flown to this country every week, Shapiro said.
The company had been known for its Italian bedding products until a few years ago, when it moved to developing bedding from Asia with a European flavor, said Shapiro. The program will continue, he said.
In the company's Asian Collection, comforters can be designed to retailers' specifications, he explained.
Prices range from $50 to $100 for queen sheets and $65 to $125 for queen comforter sets.
