Revman Launches Zucchi, Grows Bath

By Michele SanFilippo -- Home Textiles Today, 11/1/2004

New York—Revman International is building a larger presence in bath for Nicole Miller, Anne Klein, Laura Ashley Lifestyles and Dean Miller, and has launched Zucchi of Italy, a queen/king ombre bedding line featuring innovative processing that prints and dyes the yarns before they're woven.

The first Zucchi collection is called Shades with patterns named Earth, Wind and Fire that feature lots of color but target a minimalist lifestyle. The Zen-inspired all-cotton collection includes duvet covers, quilts, comforter sets, 250-count sheeting and other top-of-bed elements. Earth has an orange and green motif, Wind is an aqua and rose story, and Fire comes in reds and purples. Comforter sets will retail for $299.99, duvets for $179.99, quilts for $229.99, and sheet sets at $129.99, all in queen size.

According to Diane Piemonte, vice president of creative services at Revman, the technique will allow the company to create many colors and moods.

Bed Bath and Beyond's exclusive Nicole Miller bath line features an interesting take on the global dip dye look in jade, chocolates and neutrals. In Dean Miller, Revman is expanding into more pieced shower curtains with five new styles featuring printed vinyls, appliqués and embroidered patterns. There are five new styles of bath accessories and some bath towel looks. In addition, there are six to eight new dec pillows, a new print bed (San Diego) and two pieced bed patterns (Big Surf and Skate Park).

In Kohl's Laura Ashley Lifestyles collection, six saturated pastels have been added to the solid color sheeting program in peony, pink, lilac, daffodil yellow, duck egg blue and cottage blue.

In Echo, Revman has continued to take its inspiration from Echo's scarves and handbags. The new bed patterns are: Splash, an ice blue and lime paint splatter design; Park Avenue, a plaid and tweed look in hot pink and green or gray, yellow and blue; and Circle Game, a '50s-inspired circular geometric print in neutral, blue or pink. Also new are faux leather Marshmallow pillows in five colors and the Chelsea Paisley scarf square in neutral or hot pink and green. All shams, euros and sheeting cuffs are reversible.

Laura Ashley London has introduced three bed patterns and one update: Downtown Country, Ribbon Posy, Silver Rain and Fresh Flowers in lilac or rose.

Downtown Country is an updated toile look in blue and green on white and ivory featuring eyelet accents with diagonal pleating on decs and euros. The bed is paired with London Lace 400-count sateen sheeting with a lace overlay that comes in white, ivory and duck egg blue. Ribbon Posy features a horizontal band of embroidered appliqués in peach on an ivory sateen outer bed with rocheted lace euros and embroidered sheets. Silver Rain looks like a luxury hotel-inspired bed with a jacquard damask center in tones of neutral and soft blue plus decorative top stitching.
