Down Lite Offers Lyocell Bedding Plus Towels

20 New Patterns Will Retail as Duvet Sets

By Michele SanFilippo -- Home Textiles Today, 11/1/2004

New York —Down Lite International has launched into fashion bedding with Tessuto Bello, an extensive collection of 100 percent printed Lyocell duvets, shams and sheeting in 20 new patterns that range from traditional to contemporary and will retail as duvet sets.

In addition, the collection features Lyocell towels in 100 percent or blended constructions with embroidery that coordinates back to bedding or solid color looks.

“The concept of printed Lyocell duvet sets is gaining a lot of attention,” said Stefan Hunter, Down Lite's marketing manager, adding that the company is also doing women's robes and sleepwear in coordinating patterns. He explained that Down Lite is continuing to expand its product line and is looking to diversify its assortment.

In the company's Biltmore Estate For Your Home license, eight new high-end jacquards have been added in queen and king sizes with coordinating window and decorative pillows.

Items will be sold as comforter or duvet sets. Two new silk throws in four colors can also be layered in to complete the look. New Biltmore Estate packaging has also been developed for existing and upcoming products.

In Modern Domestics, Down Lite's bedding line geared to young urbanites and tweeners, five new patterns have been introduced as duvet sets or throws.
