Karsten Launches Six Bedding Collections
Sheets an Opportunity for Company to Differentiate Product

New York—Karsten America has launched its new bedding program, which includes six collections.
They are: Simplicity, a 310-count cotton and micro-denier poly from Pakistan; Wrinkle Resistant, a 300-count cotton sateen from India; Teflon Stain Release, a 300-count cotton sateen from India; Bamboo, a 250-count 100 percent bamboo from China; Ultra Fresh, a 300-count cotton sateen allergen-reduction line from India; and Sueded Oxford Weave, a 350-count cotton flannel alternative from China.
“Sheets are a logical extension to our offerings,” said John Cafaro, chief marketing officer. “But we think of it also as an opportunity to differentiate our product. It isn't all about thread count, but also about differentiation in the category.”
For the company's bath towel line, it is showing five solid color collections, both from Brazil as well as new sources in India and China. Prices for the bath towels in these collections range from $13 to $25.
