Veratex Showing Solid Color

From the New York Market —Veratex proves the importance of solid color this New York Home Textiles Market with its new Murano collection in bedding, sheets, throws, window and ottomans. It has also launched freestanding window for spring and fall and unveiled a line of five linen sprays to retail for under $10 in Energy, Pleasure, Cashmere, Sensuality and Serenity fragrances.

The Murano bed features a geometric wave pattern on microsuede in pool and stem colorways with a striped accent and new square-shaped bolster. The collection's window panel is a microsuede look with oversized chrome grommets. The Murano sheet is a 350-count Egyptian cotton sateen in six light/medium bright contemporary colors (cloud, pool, stem, orchid, twig and tigerlily) with a one-inch windowpane dobby. The throw is a 50-by-60-inch rustic Scandinavian-inspired waffle-weave in the same palette.

“The Murano line reflects where the whole spring collection is this market, based on what's happening color-wise in ready to wear,” said Susan Hagen, head designer at Veratex.

In freestanding window, Veratex is showing a variety of sheer and opaque looks, a textured sheer organza with embroidery, velvet burnouts in a wide array of colors, embroidered microsuede, embossed velvet and embroidery on faux tussah silk, with interesting beaded accents throughout at bottom of top treatments and scarves. Some of the new looks include Fiorenza, Gemma, Giovanna, Mirabella, Kasha and Traviata.

In bedding, important trends include bohemian chic, sophisticated contemporary, and updated retro. All decorative bed pillows reverse to coordinated colors and fabrics. New looks include Meridian, Fleur, Tamaya, Optical, Remy, Caprice, Valetta, Dresden, Jacqueline, Analyse, Cherise,
