Seminar Addresses “Made In The USA” Questions

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 10/8/2004

New York —A Nexco-sponsored seminar — “Made in the USA – Does Your Product Qualify?” — will be held on Oct. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at The Williams Club, 24 East 39th St., between Park and Madison Avenue, 6th floor.

The seminar will investigate the term “Made in the USA” by addressing questions such as: What does this mean and when can companies use this term? The discussion will also aim to help attendees understand and comply with the Federal Trade Commission's country-of-origin advertising standards.

Speakers will include: Elaine Kolish, associate director for enforcement, Federal Trade Commission; and Robert Leo, a partner in Meeks & Sheppard, a customs and international trade law firm based in New York City.

Nexco is an international trade association that sponsors monthly seminars for importers, exporters, freight forwarders, bankers, attorneys, accountants, and any other professional engaged in global trade.

Cost is $75 for non-members, $60 for HFPA members and $40 for Nexco members.
