ShopKo names Gentry senior vp

GREEN BAY, WIS. — ShopKo Stores, Inc. has promoted Larry Gentry to senior vice president of store operations for the company's ShopKo division.
In addition to directing the management and operation of all 140 ShopKo stores, he will take responsibility for merchandise presentation, loss prevention and process improvement .
Gentry joined ShopKo in 2003 as vice president, store operations. Prior to ShopKo, he worked in store operations management for 27 years at Fred Meyer in Portland, Ore.
"Larry's leadership in the past year has been important as we focused on improving the company's performance. He is unwavering in his commitment to meeting the needs of our customers and shareholders," said Sam Duncan, president and CEO of ShopKo Stores.
