Gemette named evp, merchandising at HSN

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — Greg Gemette has been appointed executive vice president of merchandising at TV and Web retailer HSN.
The 20-year retail veteran now leads all of the company's merchandising categories: jewelry, fashion, health and beauty, home fashions and electronics. He is also responsible for merchandise planning and off-air sales functions. He reports to Marty Nealon, president of HSN-U.S.
Previously, Gemette was vice president and general merchandising manager of American Eagle Outfitters. Prior to that, he held similar long-term executive positions at retailers Lane Bryant and Broadway Stores.
