NEW YORK — Arthur Friedman has been promoted to vice president, key accounts, at The Robert Allen Group.

He joined the company in April as operating vice president, national sales and manufacturing. In his new role, he will be responsible for increasing market share and developing business opportunities within the piece goods, domestics, manufacturing and furniture markets for Robert Allen @ Home and Ametex Fabrics. He continues to report to Paul Sarazin, senior vice president of sales.

David Lappert, formerly a representative for Robert Allen in the Southeast Florida area, has been named operating vice president of piece good sales, reporting to Friedman. He will continue to reside in Florida, but will maintain an office at the company's headquarters here.

John Shane continues as operating vice president of furniture manufacturing sales.

Jeff Ganz continues as operating vice president for national accounts. Both now report to Friedman. They had reported to Sarazin.

Nunnally joins Claridge as vp of sales

CHULA VISTA, CALIF. — Jack Nunnally has joined Claridge Textiles International as vice president of sales and operations, a new post.

Nunnally most recently was vice president of sales for Venus Industries, a trimmings manufacturer. Earlier, he was in management positions with Barrow Industries, Fandown & Bourne and Showcase Fabrics.

Based in Birmingham, Ala., he reports to Shannon Lee, principal and president of Claridge, an upper-end fabric and trimming supplier in China with headquarters here and a warehouse in High Point, N.C. The company is about to purchase a warehouse in High Point, a much larger facility than the public warehouse space it has been using, Lee said.

The company also moved its corporate office from San Diego to Chula Vista, increasing its space from 3,000 to 5,000 square feet.
