Seven execs tapped for Invista Interiors leadership

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 5/17/2004

KENNESAW, GA. — Seven Invista executives have been named to key leadership positions in the new global Invista Interiors organization.

Invista was acquired from DuPont in April by Koch Ind. for $4.2 billion.

Alan Wolk, president of Invista Interiors, as well as the seven executives who report to him, are relocating from Wilmington, Del., to the floorings hub that was established here in the mid-'90s.

Ana Torrence has been named vice president, home/hospitality interiors. She previously was head of bath, area and accent rugs at Invista.

The other vice presidents are Bobby Berrier, commercial/transportation flooring; Steve Griffith, residential flooring; Dilip Kumar, interiors, Asia Pacific; and Russell Pike, interiors, Europe. Nelson Altero was named business director, South America; and Harry Dickerson was named global technology director.

The Teflon and Stainmaster interiors businesses, including furniture, will be run by the interiors organization for products other than apparel.

Bill Ghitis, president of Invista apparel, will take the lead in the development of the Lycra spandex business, the company stated.

Additional personnel for the Invista Interiors business will be announced later.
