Elrene expands Adler

NEW YORK — With strong reaction to its March launch, Elrene's designer line with sculptor Jonathan Adler is being expanded with four new collections.
Christine Siegel, vice president of design, said the company will preview the new collections — made in all-weather fabrications like lacquerware and bamboo, and intended for outdoor use — in August, which is "earlier than we've ever previewed any of our lines in the past." Typically, Elrene previews lines for the spring season early in the fall.
"Our retail partners had been asking for modern table linens for quite a while, but we were looking for the right vehicle to bring it to them," Siegel said. "We feel Jonathan Adler was the right fit. The reaction from retailers was phenomenal, and we got excellent placement (with department and specialty stores)."
Elrene's line with Adler comprises placemats, napkins, runners and napkin rings. It does not include tablecloths.
