Kelley moves to furniture, joins Sterling Industries

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 4/26/2004

NORCROSS, GA. — Barry Kelley recently left the home textiles industry to join furniture, lighting and home accessories company Sterling Industries.

He has been appointed to the new position of director of creative services. Kelley reports directly to John Scott, company owner and president.

Kelley, who has spent more than 15 years working in the home textiles industry, was formerly vice president of marketing, merchandising and creative services for Dalton, Ga.-based Oriental Weavers of America. Prior to that, he worked under the same position for 14 years at Sugar Valley, Ga.-based Mohawk Home.

"Barry will be a good addition to our already strong creative team," Scott said. "His past experience will be of great benefit to us as we strive to control our burgeoning opportunities. Barry brings a wealth of experience from his 16-year career in advertising and marketing, and we expect him to exceed our expectations quickly."

He has relocated to the Atlanta metropolitan area from Chattanooga, Tenn., to be closer to company headquarters here.
