AT THE NEW YORK MARKET — Avanti Linens has come to market with new alliances as well as new design collections.
The embellished towel producer recently partnered with Waverly to produce a licensed collection of embellished bath towel ensembles. The towels are made of 100 percent cotton sheared velour. The ensembles include bath, hand, wash and fingertip towels.
The collection debuts with seven Waverly patterns. They are: Brianna, a lilac and rose bouquet featuring a scalloped border bound in floral fabric; Heirloom, a floral print overlaid on a striped fabric banded with cord; Fleur de Lis, a classical floral wreath with fleur de lis embroidery trimmed with a satin ribbon; Remember When, a stripe featuring pleats and trimming with a natural-colored braid; Rambling Vine, a vine and stripe band embellished with an opulent twist and cord tassels; Lanai, a palm and orchid embroidery on a frond print; and Maui, a palm print featuring a tassel fringe.
Avanti also has signed a new licensing agreement to produce embellished towels under WestPoint Stevens' signature brands: Martex, Grand Patrician, Atelier Martex, Patrician, Utica and Lady Pepperell. The line is being shown in both the Avanti and WestPoint Stevens showrooms during market
Additionally, Avanti launched the Traditions line, a new opening price point collection for specialty, mid-tier and department stores. Retails range from $12.99 to $14.99.
The 13-pound, all-terry towel measures 25-by-50 inches and is available in four colors.
As is the case with all Avanti offerings, Traditions is available in bath, hand, wash and fingertip sizes.
In designs, Avanti has introduced the next evolution in its Safari Collection.
It has also introduced an Asian-inspired collection of designs.
