CARLSTADT, N.J . and BEIJING — Pantone, Inc. and the China Textile Information Center have entered into a licensing agreement to co-brand and co-market the Pantone fashion and home color system as a part of the China National Color System.
"This is a new beginning for China's color industry," said Sun Ruizhe, president of the China Textile Information Center and China Textiles Development Center.
"In order for China textile manufacturers to compete in a worldwide market, we need a color language that is understood on a global basis with tools that are readily available. Our partnership with Pantone is a critical step in this effort," added Ruizhe.
Pantone will train China textiles professionals on color management, including how to specify and communicate color for both domestic manufacturing and export.
