Capelli New York launches home fashion department

NEW YORK — Capelli New York, a manufacturer of fashion accessories, sleepwear, footwear, toy/novelty and home products, recently created a home fashion division to be led by industry veteran Loretta Gallion.
Gallion, who has served as director of sales and marketing at Capelli New York since August, is responsible for developing and implementing all sales and marketing strategies in the new department.
Her prior sales experience includes stints at Springs, Dan River, Hollander, PHI and Imperial Home Décor Group.
"We feel very fortunate to have an industry veteran such as Loretta Gallion helping us build market share in the competitive home fashion business," said George Altirs, company president and CEO.
According to Gallion, the plan is for Capelli New York, which currently makes blankets, throws and some decorative pillows, to have juvenile bedding at the spring market and to become a one-stop shop for juvenile room décor.
