PCF is Dockers Home's utility vehicle

SEATTLE — PCF (Pacific Coast Feather) has signed with Dockers Home to handle its utility bedding, picking up on the apparel company's comfort approach to fashion. The supplier will produce a full range of utility products featuring the Stain Defender feature such as pillows in various densities, gusseted Euro squares, solid color down comforters and Custom Fit mattress pads with a hidden waistband designed to fit 22-inch mattresses.

The company will also feature two types of gusseted 260-count twill down pillows to ship late summer 2004. Another new item will be the Back Pack to School solid down comforter that's packaged as a napsack in four colorways: blue, green, red and sand. There will also be solid down comforters with decorative hem stitching in the same four colorways. Also featured will be fashionable reversible down throws with microsuede on one side and microfiber on the other; two-toned fleece and microfiber down blankets called Fleece Flip; and a full range of decorative pillows using microsuede and cotton denim fabrications with shearling trim. There's even something for Fido in the mix with two different sizes of dog beds in cotton denim with Stain Defender.

PCF has also extended its relationship with Sealy Corp. to produce luxury top of bed creations for Stearns & Foster. The company is offering three pillows, two mattress pads, a sheet set, a down comforter and a cotton spandex bed skirt. The comforter features a framed bafflebox construction on a European-inspired jacquard of top-dyed heathered yarn in champagne and mink. Both sheeting and comforters are reversible, stain-proof, waterproof, dust-mite resistant and feature Silken Infilux micro denier.

The comforter will retail for $399.99, sheet set for $259.99 and mattress pads for $149.99. Two of the pillows will retail for $129.99, the third for $199.99. The Duncastle pillow, one of the $129.99 items, features a contoured latex foam insert surrounded by a removable white goose down wrap; the other is an all-down pillow with 650 fillpower. The $199.99 Kentfield pillow has three removable cylinders that customize the amount of visco elastic foam inside. The sheet set will also feature two shams in addition to the usual pillowcases, top sheet and fitted sheet with Euro hold.

In Sealy, there's a new "building block" formula for crib pads that offers such choices as an elastic snug-fit skirt, waterproof reversible fleece, stain protection, quilted soft cotton flannel and an all-natural option. They have also unveiled three Sweet Pea maternity pillows: the contour pillow, Cradle Support Wedge and 20" x 60" Cradle Rest Body Pillow with removable flannel cover.

PCF's Natural Living brand offers a down-alternative pillow and a garneted pillow, a fiber bed, comforter and mattress pad made entirely of all-natural Ingeo fibers. In SuperLoft, there's a new down-on-top featherbed for extra support plus machine washable barrier weave down blankets and comforters with tufted corners for extra loft that feature a 30-day comfort guarantee. Blankets have 525 fillpower and a 3-inch satin binding and are larger in size (98" x 98" queen) to fit thicker mattresses. Comforters are 300-count and come in light warm and year-round warmth (both 550 fillpower) as well as extra warmth (600 fillpower). In featherbeds, PCF has added Lumbar Support, which has horizontal channels across the bed and features 33 percent more feathers in the center for $119 queen. In addition, there's also a new Natural Contour pillow and a u-shaped Euro down Neck Nook with a flat back and 2-inch gusset.
