AT THE NEW YORK MARKET Albani-Decotex, a jacquard lace company that manufactures product in many countries, will for the first time show its line of lace windows from Vietnam, which will include 30 to 50 designs, said Richard Glass, who heads up the sales and marketing. Price points will range from promotional up to better goods.
The company also allows the retailer to forego the middleman. "The mission of the company is to bring this global network direct to the U.S. market," he said.
The company has American management based both here and in Vietnam, he added, and execs include Peter Nittman, a principal and formerly with Gilford, and Amy Grossman, head of merchandising in New Jersey.
Some wovens will be shown within the collection as well, which can be viewed at the Avalon Hotel.
