Yves Delorme translates look to table

AT THE NEW YORK MARKET Building on its fine bed and bath linens, Yves Delorme, Charlottesville, VA, has translated its look to the table this market, with its first collection of table linens.
"We wanted to complete the Yves Delorme look," said Evelyne Julienne, designer. The company, which is the exclusive distributor of Le Jacquard Francais, a brightly colored table linen collection, needed a toned down group that would better coordinate with its own palette.
"It was a natural extension," said Virginia Peale, media and public relations director. And the cross coordination is "easier to present to the customer as a whole line."
Yves Delorme also premiered its latest in bedding, which fell into three design groups: les romantiques, les colonials and les décoratifs. The centerpiece of les romantiques is a trio of patterns highlighting the hyacinth, including the styles Jacinthe, Papilio, Hya, Darsii, Genêt, Geniévre and Canne. Ficus, with variegated green leaves and dracaena stems, and Santal, a two-color lush foliage, are the company's colonial offerings. Affresco, Laurier, Oria, Roland and Elyseé make up the les decoratifs group. The company also bowed its new line of high-thread count solids.
The table patterns, all woven jacquards, are currently standalone, with the exception of Dynastie, which uses the porcelain motif from the company's Ming bedding. But as more are added they will coordinate with the bedding.
Constructed of 100 percent linen, Marly is a solid color style in indigo, tanin, kiwi, curry, seigle, natural and blanc.
Three styles are made of 50 percent cotton and 50 percent linen. Vetiver, an engineered leafy look, comes in three colors: curry, myrtille and canard. Tropical is an all-over pattern on either an ecru or flax ground, and is offered in camomile, canard and bois de rose. Dynastie, with an Asian influence, comes in bleu de chine, tanin and seigle.
Each pattern comes in napkins, runners, placemats and an array of tablecloths. Tablecloths will retail from $180 to $450, depending on the size.
