VINEMONT, AL — Contract manufacturer HomeTex has been working on its own branded line of bed linens called DreamFit.
In development for three years, the DreamFit line of 300-count sheets includes oversized king flat sheets of 112" x 108", and queens 94" x 108". King and queen pillowcases are sized at 21" x 42".
The patented fitted sheet features 1-inch two-ply elasticized continuous binding, two-ply elasticized corner straps, corner stitching and deep corners to fit any mattress including electric beds, sofa beds, bunk beds and air mattresses.
"HomeTex feels we bring a newness to the textiles industry through innovation and introduction of new variables to basic products," said Michael Green, HomeTex marketing consultant.
Mattress pads, sold as sets with protective pillow covers, are manufactured with AllergenGuard, an inanimate allergen-reducing fiber as well as OdorGuard and HealthGuard, a 100 percent waterproof barrier.
Thread counts of 250 to 300 in king sheet sets run between $179 and $189 and are currently available in solid colorways. Future programs include 400-, 500- and 600-count bedding sets.
HomeTex, operating since 1988, has initiated programs with a number of mid-point retailers, and sleep shops.
