Former Bush flack at IMRA

ARLINGTON, VA — The International Mass Retail Association has announced that former Bush White House press secretary and assistant to the president Ari Fleischer will deliver the closing keynote address at IMRA's annual convention this September.

"IMRA is excited to have such an acclaimed journalist and White House insider share his experiences and insights with our members," said Sandy Kennedy, IMRA president. "Fleischer will bring a political perspective to our outstanding program that already features many of the retail industry's most successful and innovative leaders."

Other industry leaders to speak at the convention, scheduled for Sept. 14 to 16 in Orlando, include David Perdue, ceo, Dollar General; Kathleen Mason, president and ceo, Tuesday Morning; and Coleman Peterson, evp, people division, Wal-Mart.
