Midwest Textile Assn. finalizing golf outing

COLUMBUS, OH — Final preparations are being made for the 14th Annual Midwest Textile Association's Charity Golf Outing to be held this year on Sept. 8th at The Golf Club of Dublin, Dublin, OH.
Originally founded on the principal of helping families of members of the textile industry who have passed away, MTA has raised more than half a million dollars. In years where there has not been a family in need, the association has chosen to support local causes that help people in need.
This year, MTA is honoring Joel Gentry, a 30-year employee of Ostrow Company. Gentry passed away from a brief battle with cancer, leaving behind his wife Beth, an adult son Shawn and a 15-year-old son, Grayson. The association will donate the majority of this year's proceeds to a college fund for the younger son.
The Midwest Textile Association will also be making donations to The American Heart Association in memory of Paul D'huyvetter and Bobby Lorberbaum, veterans of the industry who recently passed away. In addition, a donation will be made to The Moyer Foundation, a Seattle-based organization, in the memory of Roy Clothier, ceo of Pacific Coast Feather, who passed away in May.
