Pillowtex advert team forms own business

DALLAS — The members of Pillowtex's advertising department have launched their own business, AdTex Advertising, which will target home textiles accounts.

DJ Adams, former Pillowtex advertising manager, is president. Christi Adams, former assistant advertising manager, is vp. Other principals include former Pillowtex advertising contractors: Mike Willemin of printing/ graphic company Rogers Printing; designers Jill Marr and Steve Marr of Red Stick Creative; and Cindy Baxter and Douglas Baxter of Art Gigs, both of which handle conceptual, design and pre-press work.

"With the inevitability of Pillowtex's unfortunate failure looming, merchants contacted us about continuing to produce their ads," said Adams. "We had built a reputation for doing great work on a shoestring budget with ridiculously short turnaround times."
