UNION CITY, TN — CBK, a wholesaler of home décor, gifts and accessories, has introduced its first collection of textiles, called Textures, which is composed of decorative pillows, bolsters, table runners and squares, throws and more.
"It helps finish the look of our hard product line; it softens the look," said Glenda Ray, vp, marketing. The company tested a few textiles products a few years back and after gauging the response decided to do more.
"For our introductory collection, it came together well. It's already been well received."
With products including cell phone holders, wine bottle holders and fireplace runners, Textures totals 142 skus, although some skus include more than one style.
Products are constructed with an array of fabric, including dupioni silk, wool cashmere, leather, suede, cotton woolens, Egyptian cotton, regular silk, and some are finished with beading, embroidery, fringe and feathers. "The fabric as well as the detail is very nice," Ray said.
Wholesale prices range from $3.50 to $50.00, she added, with decorative pillows from $10.00 to $22.50 and table runners from $12.50 to $25.00. The collection includes designs such as paisleys, fleur-de-lis and positive/negative, as well as solid color or color on color looks. The collection is imported from the same Asian countries the company works with on its hard lines.
CBK works with independent retailers such as boutiques, and this new collection helps make it a one-stop shop, Ray said. The company exhibits at the gift shows, though she said it is considering the New York Home Textiles Show.
