GREEN BAY, WI — Samuel Martin has joined ShopKo Stores here as vp of distribution and transportation, assuming responsibility for the movement of all merchandise to the company's ShopKo and Pamida store locations.

Reporting to Dan Bolstad, svp, store operations and logistics, Martin joins ShopKo from Toys "R" Us, where he served vp of western region sales and operations. Previously he was at Fred Meyer as regional vp, store operations.

"Sam's background, demonstrated leadership and dedication to operational excellence will be a great asset as we focus on improving the company's performance," said Bolstad.
