Sure Fit hires sales vp, marketing director

ALLENTOWN, PA — Sure Fit Inc. announced the addition of two employees, Michael Lauri and David Spain, as the vp of sales and director of sales and marketing, respectively, and the promotion of a third employee, Sheetal Gosalia.

Lauri's primary responsibilities are to oversee Sure Fit's Linens 'n Things, Federated Corporate and Macy's East accounts and to acquire new business. Previously, he was employed by Travelpro.

Spain will focus on growing Sure Fit's Web business outside of the company's Web site, particularly with the company's retailers' sites. Prior to joining the slipcover company, Spain was the vp of sales and marketing at Sara Lee Corporation.

Both positions are newly created and both report directly to Rick Platt, senior vp of sales.

Gosalia has been promoted to import development manager from her position as merchandising product manager. She continues to work on merchandising, but with a stronger focus on expanding Sure Fit's import capabilities. She will report to Paula Neustat, senior vp of merchandising.
