Hellenic selects vp to manage sales team

BROOKLYN, NY — Area rug supplier Hellenic Rug Imports has appointed Chris Phillips to the new position of vp. He begins March 1.
Phillips will report to Steve Mazarakis, president, and will be based out of north central Ohio.
For the past six and a half years, Phillips worked for Dalton, GA-based Shaw Industries in various capacities, most recently as regional manager for the western United States and all of Canada, based out of Southern California. Prior to that he was an area rug specialist for the Shaw Rugs division, and earlier he worked as a territory manager for the carpet division.
In his new post, Phillips will oversee Hellenic's sales force for the United States as well as help with marketing and product selections.
"We are excited about Chris coming on board," Mazarakis said. "He brings a welcome experience in both furniture and floor coverings and will help us greatly in achieving our goals."
