Barth and Dreyfuss ready for move to 261

BURBANK, CA — Barth and Dreyfuss of California will move its 10,000-square-foot showroom from 295 Fifth Avenue to somewhat smaller quarters at 261 Fifth Avenue, according to Tom Orr, executive vp, sales and marketing. The move is slated for Feb. 1, he said.
The new showroom will be ready for New York Home Textiles Market in March/April.
In the interim, Barth and Dreyfuss will occupy a temporary space in the building until renovations are completed.
The company also hired two new design and product development executives.
Karen Allen has been appointed senior vp, product development, responsible for kitchen textiles, table linens and decorative pillows. And Vivian Acerbo has joined the company as vp of design for specialty store customers.
Allen, based here at its headquarters, is an industry veteran, with more than 20 years of experience working in home textiles. Acerbo, who will be based in New York, spent the past eight years with Louisville Saydah Home Fashions, most recently as vp of marketing.
"As Barth and Dreyfuss continues to grow and focuses on enhancing our image as the best design company in the kitchen and table linen industry, we felt it was necessary to strengthen our design efforts with two multi-talented and experienced design professionals," Orr said.
