Tai Ping opts to change corporate name, logo

CALHOUN, GA— Options Tai Ping Carpets, a member of Tai Ping Carpets Group, a producer of woven Wilton and Axminster carpet, specialty tufted carpet and handmade area rugs, recently changed its name to Tai Ping Carpets Americas Inc. and created a new company logo.
The new corporate name is designed to more accurately reflect the company's direction and focus as the U.S. division of the global Tai Ping Carpets Group, said Steve Brandon, president.
The dropped Options portion of the name will remain the company's commercial carpet brand name, and Tai Ping Carpets & Rugs becomes the brand identity for residential products. The new logo features a modern graphic rendition of the Chinese words "tai ping," replacing the classic Chinese pictograms previously used in the logo. The traditional characters for tai ping, which translates to "peace," are embedded in the new logo.
The international parent company, Tai Ping Carpets Group, is a global company that began producing luxury carpets and rugs in 1956 for royal palaces, famous hotels and bank headquarters.
